That is a pretty awesome workplace, and is just what you might expect from Google, but one can't help but wonder if it is an efficient workspace based on almost any set of metrics. It would be hard to imagine that is scales very well in terms of number of workers it houses per square foot, or cost per associate per square foot.
Nevertheless, it is a cool building. It will be one of the first perks to go when Google becomes a normal company that has to actually compete on price with a real competitor.
That is a really good point. Even if they are recycling and using clean energy (or stuff like that, you know), that building is not good for the environment based on square footage per workers alone.
Also, I would like to know where they actually do any work. We didn't see that part. They just showed us the million places they go to relax at work.
