Are worthless. unless you count the tax credit. I am really excited that despite the fact that the 2007 Honda Civic we bought this year is more efficient than most hybrid cars, the people who bought the hybrid cars can get up to a $2,600 tax credit. Hybrid cars that get <30mpg? Even my 1998 Civic gets better than that and I didn't have to add another car to a landfill. If we had bought a SUV hybrid that gets 20mpg, we'd get a tax credit. But, since we bought a small efficient gasoline powered vehicle that gets >30mpg we get nothing.

Hybrid is hype, and don't even get me started on the ethanol scam. I love taxes. That is all.
